Welcome to the radio journalism page - listen to some of my independent radio reports and the contributions I have made to local radio.
In my broadcast module at university I learnt how to source, research, record and edit radio packages. Most of my stories are Canterbury-based due to the location of my university. Myself and my colleagues also grouped together to put our packages into a radio programme.
Students at the University of Kent escape fire
Kent
Fire and Rescue tell us about a lucky escape in student accomodation at the
University of Kent, as well as some safety tips.
In
the lead up to the 2010 UK election, I was given the opportunity
to participate in an experiment with BBC Radio Kent. Three of us
watched the third election debate, while another three listened
to it. The aim was to see if listeners and watchers of the
debate came to the same conclusion. Prior to the debate, we all
gave our views on the election to a reporter from the BBC. The
next morning myself, representing those who watched it, and
another student representing those who listened, gave feedback
on our thoughts of the debate, live. Did we agree? Listen to a
recording of the programme below.
